About Adam Woodworth

Adam Woodworth grew up in the small river town of Nauvoo, Illinois, just a little over an hour north of Hannibal, Missouri, the home of the legendary Mark Twain. A story-teller at heart, Adam always enjoyed creating stories and poetry. In 1998, he had an opportunity to perfect his craft by joining the staff of WCCQ, 98.3 FM where he not only sold air time, but he also wrote original copy for commercials.

In 2005, Adam's breakthrough book, "The Rantings of a 33-Year-Old Father of Two," was released and shortly after, "More Rantings of a 33-Year-Old Father of Two" hit bookstore shelves. He's contributed works of poetry to "In Katrina's Wake," a poetry book with 100% of the proceeds going to hurricane relief. Also a photographer, he has published two photo books, "God is Still Speaking" and "Costa Rica: A Photo Journey."

Adam's other writing credentials include being a popular columnist for the Joliet Herald newspaper and having appeared in the trade magazine Advancing Philanthropy. Adam continues to work on writing projects and lives in the Chicago suburbs.

If you are looking for a columnist who can be compassionate, controversial and thought-provoking, then you've come to the "write" place.
